You’ve found a Youth & Yore postcard!

This vintage postcard from Folkestone (originally printed over 120 years ago) has been lovingly reprinted as part of our Youth & Yore project. We're inviting Folkestone locals aged 75 and over to share their memories of the town.

There are a few ways you can do this :

  1. Write your memories on the back of the postcard you have found, pop on a stamp, and post it back to us.

  2. Snap a photo of yourself with the postcard and share it, along with your memories on Instagram—don’t forget to tag us @microwavecoven_

  3. Send us your own postcard or letter to Microwave Coven, c/o The Stables,35-37 Tontine St, Folkestone, CT20 1JT.

  4. Drop us a message via Instagram or HERE.

However you choose to take part, we’d love to hear your stories.

Your memories will help shape a new piece of family theatre co-created by children aged 8–10 and elders aged 75+ in Folkestone.

The postcards and stories we collect will also feature in an exhibition running alongside the play, celebrating Folkestone through the eyes of its residents across generations.
